With MagicAngel.net's Mail Scanner...
MailScanner Subject line tags:
{Tracking Bug Removed} - It is safe to open these emails. Tracking Bugs are web links to sites that allow senders to monitor your mail reading habits. Using tracking bugs, they can tell if you read your mail or not. MailScanner disables tracking bugs.
{Spam} - MailScanner thinks this email is spam and is warning you that it may contain spam. If you don't know the sender and the subject line isn't something you are expecting, then you should simply delete this email. This level of spam can be turned off, if you no longer want to get it.
{Definitely Spam!} - This level of spam is turned off by default. All of this is normally spam, porn and drug ads, you should have this turned off. Contact us if you get any spam marked like this.
{Fraud?} - Mailscanner will attempt to point out Phishing attempts by indicating where links are actually going, instead of where they appear to go. Phishing is a fraud attempt that redirects you to a fraud site by showing one name in the link, but linking to a different site. For example, you think you are going to ebay, when you are really going to some fraud website outside of the US. Mail scanner will include the following in the message:
MailScanner has detected a possible fraud attempt from "www.ebay-fraud-gauys.com" claiming to be www.ebay.com
It is safe to open emails with the {Fraud?} tag. This is common on emails with links in them and does not indicate fraud. See the actual link indicated in the message and don't click on it if you don't know where it is going.
I'm getting some mail, but I don't know why its marked spam. Grandma never sent me spam before! If you view the message source for your spam, you will see codes like:
